Mirai-Me Smooth Cutting
The teeth of the future! Silky blades have precision ground razor sharp teeth, with 4 cutting angles along their length. They leave an especially smooth surface after cutting and are ideal for pruning, greatly reducing the risk of infection. They can rip-cut, cross-cut and slant-cut. |
Non-Set Teeth The blades are made from SK-4 high carbon steel and are taper ground (i.e. thicker at the tooth edge and thinner at the back of the blade). This taper reduces resistance giving smoother, easier, and faster cutting performance. |
Impluse Hardening Using a special high frequency heating technique, teeth are heated instantly and hardened. Because only the teeth are heated, the blade retains its normal flexibility. Hardened teeth stay sharp about 3 times longer than non-hardened teeth. |
Four Rows of Teeth Silky Saw teeth are set in such a way that there appears to be 4 rows of them. These are rough cutting hand saws for heavier tasks. They can rip-cut, cross-cut and slant-cut. |
Hard Chrome Plating Hard Chrome Plating produces an exceedingly hard and durable surface. The blades are resistant to rust and the effects of resin, and they are finely or mirror polished and wipe clean easily. |
Sharpenable Because impulse-hardening is not applied, the blades marked with this symbol can be sharpened with a file. |

Rubber Handles Almost all Silky Saws have rubber compound elastomer handles, either inserted or vulcanised to ABS plastic or steel. Rubber handles are more comfortable to hold, reduce vibration, and offer superior grip in the cold and wet. |

GENKI TEMAGARI - Professional
- The SILKY GENKI TEMAGARI is a large, professional, heavy-duty saw with a 500mm, ultra-strong, mono-constructed blade. The curved black handle adds depth and strength, and the mono-construction of the blade gives strength and flexibility to the full length of the saw. This saw is suitable for heavier tasks or cutting large branches. The superbly designed rubber hand-grip encases the blade extension to absorb vibration while cutting, and the precision-ground, razor-sharp teeth provide fast, clean and extremely smooth cutting action. The hard chrome-plated blade resists rust and the effects of tree resin, and wipes clean easily.
With the great combination of the high performance blade and a comfortable sure-grip handle that really sticks in your hands, the biggest challenge with this saw is getting it started. However, once the kerf is established, the Genki slices through the wood faster than any hand saw you have ever seen. With practice, this saw REALLY delivers!
*The Genki Temagari 500mm has progressive teeth (3 - 5 teeth per 30mm), which provide an easier, smoother start to the cutting stroke followed by a high speed, super productive finish.
- Extra Large - 3 - 5 teeth per 30mm (2.5 - 4.2 teeth per inch)
- Low effort triple edge, non-set tooth design
- Sharpenable
- Hard chrome plated, taper ground blade
- Ultra-strong one piece construction with a non-slip molded rubber handle that really sticks in your hands
- Heavy duty, durable and specially designed pivoting sheath for the curved blade with a detachable belt holder included
- Exceptional strength and balance
- Superior finish quality
- Made in Japan
- Limited 12 month manufacturers warranty

SILKY SAW TECHNOLOGY...
The Icons below describe the various features that make SIlky Saws so unique and high performing. Please view individual saw descriptions to determine which features relates to that specific model.

POLE SAW - Forester Professional
-
The SILKY FORESTER POLE SAW is a lightweight professional grade aluminum pole saw, available in two extenstion lengths - 3.0m and 4.5m. These push buttons allow multiple length adjustments, and safety clamps hold the extensions firmly in place. Compared with the Zubat pole saw series, the Forester becomes shorter because of having one more extension - which is great for storage. It has also been designed in a Red colour, so it is easy to find in thick bush and forest.
There is also an extension pole saw safety instruction sheet attached - just click on the photo to the left to view.

POLE SAW - Hayate Professional
- The SILKY HAYATE POLE SAW is a super efficient, state-of-the-art Silky telescoping saw now available in 4 extension lengths of 3.8m, 5.0m, 6.1m and the ALL NEW 7.7m that offers many exciting advanced features including a stronger 420mm curved chrome-plated blade, thicker oval-profile poles, pole-end shock absorber and much more.
The aggressive curved blade cuts efficiently with less effort, is harder than conventional blades, and maintains a superior wear resistant cutting edge. The taper ground profile reduces drag and directs more usable energy to the cutting edge. The ultra sharp non-set tooth design cuts quickly leaving a silky smooth surface. Also features an optional replaceable sickle blade for small branches.
The Hayate is manufactured with high visibility colors and comes equipped with a new advanced design sheath with a built-in carrying handle. It is ideal for pruning large branches at higher position without ever climbing a ladder.
These tools should never be used in the vicinity of power or telephone lines. Safety considerations necessitates that the user wear a hard hat and eye protection at all times. Since the saws can cut quite heavy branches, the user should take care to stay clear of any falling material. This is the strongest, fastest, telescoping pole saw available on the market today.

POLE SAW - Hayauchi Professional
-
The SILKY HAYAUCHI POLE SAW is a true professional heavy duty aluminum pole saw. This saw has rigid aluminum poles that quickly extend to the desired cutting length, available in 3 extension lengths - 3.7m, 4.9m, and 6.3m. The base pole has a comfortable rubber grip. The extension lock has spring loaded buttons at the end of each length and the blades not only sport extra large teeth, but also have a sharpened base and tip for scoring the branch, to avoid ripping damage to the branch collar. The upper sickle is used to cut vines; the lower one - to undercut bark allowing a clean cut without damaging the tree.
There are now 2 blade lengths available - 390mm and the ALL NEW 480mm.
The aluminum alloy extension pole is oval shaped, giving precise control to the direction of the saw blade (especially important for high cutting) and also giving strength and rigidity to the pole, reducing bending to the minimum. Push buttons allow multiple length adjustments and safety clamps hold the extensions firmly in place. A rubber hand-grip ensures good hold and control. The blade is adjustable for lower or higher cutting.
Safety considerations necessitates that the user wear a hard hat and eye protection at all times. Since the saws can cut quite heavy branches, the user should take care to stay clear of any falling material. This is the finest telescoping pole saw available on the market today.
