The Chase Fiordland
Phil Crouchley is a professional hunting guide based in Fiordland, in the South Island of New Zealand. Along with his pilot brother, they also do commercial helicopter venison recovery, shooting free range red deer for the NZ restaurant market and for international export. The velvet and hard antler are a bi product from the recovery of the wild deer and also make up part of Phil's income alongside the meat.

Phil also does a wide range of other conservation work and hunting guiding, and uses Silky products a lot. The bulk of the velvet and antler is cut off once the deer are flown back to the chiller truck or trailer and a bigger hand saw is used, however the versatility of the Silky folding saw being able to be chucked in his pack or in the back of the helicopter makes it great in different circumstances.

Phil's go to Silky is the new Gomboy Outback, and is a great all round folding saw for a wide range of uses. Phil says, "The saw is great for cutting off hard antler, velvet, setting up camp or cutting firewood. It's a great asset to any hunter or outdoor enthusiast's backpack. I use this saw during commercial helicopter venison recovery as well as in my pack on hunting trips. Try one and you won't be disappointed."
