SILKY SAW TECHNOLOGY...
The Icons below describe the various features that make SIlky Saws so unique and high performing. Please view individual saw descriptions to determine which features relates to that specific model.
Mirai-Me Smooth Cutting
The teeth of the future! Silky blades have precision ground razor sharp teeth, with 4 cutting angles along their length. They leave an especially smooth surface after cutting and are ideal for pruning, greatly reducing the risk of infection. They can rip-cut, cross-cut and slant-cut. |
Non-Set Teeth The blades are made from SK-4 high carbon steel and are taper ground (i.e. thicker at the tooth edge and thinner at the back of the blade). This taper reduces resistance giving smoother, easier, and faster cutting performance. |
Impluse Hardening Using a special high frequency heating technique, teeth are heated instantly and hardened. Because only the teeth are heated, the blade retains its normal flexibility. Hardened teeth stay sharp about 3 times longer than non-hardened teeth. |
Four Rows of Teeth Silky Saw teeth are set in such a way that there appears to be 4 rows of them. These are rough cutting hand saws for heavier tasks. They can rip-cut, cross-cut and slant-cut. |
Hard Chrome Plating Hard Chrome Plating produces an exceedingly hard and durable surface. The blades are resistant to rust and the effects of resin, and they are finely or mirror polished and wipe clean easily. |
Sharpenable Because impulse-hardening is not applied, the blades marked with this symbol can be sharpened with a file. |

Rubber Handles Almost all Silky Saws have rubber compound elastomer handles, either inserted or vulcanised to ABS plastic or steel. Rubber handles are more comfortable to hold, reduce vibration, and offer superior grip in the cold and wet. |
SILKY TEETH CONFIGURATIONS...
Extra Large Teeth
Typically, this saw will be for use in forestry or heavy-duty arborist work. The teeth configuration will range between 3 and 7 teeth per 30mm and will give a very aggressive cut. In general you will be surprised by the smoothness of the cut. |
Large Teeth A saw with large teeth will be ideal for use in heavy/medium pruning tasks, root cutting, and construction. The number of teeth will range between 7 and 8 teeth per 30mm. An aggressive and smooth cut will be achieved. |
Medium Teeth Ideal for pruning work or construction, a medium teeth configuration usually has 10 teeth per 30mm and will give a cleaner finish when compared to larger teeth saws. |
Fine Teeth These saws are likely to be used for gardening and woodworking, and a fine teeth configuration typically comprises of 13 to 20 teeth per 30mm and will achieve a clean finish. |
Extra Fine Teeth These saws will have very fine teeth ideal for woodworking and carpentry, and range between 20 and 32 teeth per 30mm, and a very smooth finish can be expected. |

MITRE CUTTER - LO 3104/HU (50mm cut length with leverage)
-
The LOWE MITRE CUTTERS are used for the precise and clean cutting of slats, profiles and seals.
With leverage and stop faces at 45°, the Lowe 3104/HU Cutters are great for hard and flat wood, plastic and rubber materials, and have a 50mm length of cut. They are indispensable for floor layers, painters, carpenters, cabinetmakers and interior decorators.
The leverage is great for cutting flat and particularly hard materials, which require significantly more force. They have up to 80% power saving with the leverage system, and they generate the highest force coming to the end of cutting when flat hard materials show their highest resistance - at this point cutting with a conventional cutter would be very difficult.
- Length 210mm
- Length of cut 50mm
- Cutting capacity up to 35mm
- With leverage transmission
- Weight 390g
- With stop faces at 45°
- Exceptional strength and balance
- Superior finish quality

Rubber Handles Almost all Silky Saws have rubber compound elastomer handles, either inserted or vulcanised to ABS plastic or steel. Rubber handles are more comfortable to hold, reduce vibration, and offer superior grip in the cold and wet. |

HOSE CUTTER - LO 5504 (with triangular blade)
-
The LOWE 5504 HOSE CUTTERS allow you to cut hoses, plastic tubes and round stock effortlessly.
With a cut diameter of 28mm and triangular shaped blade, the Lowe 5505 Cutters are great for corrugated pipe and soft hoses. They are indispensable for electrical installers, auto manufacturing, heating, sanitation and drainage technology.
The clean, perpendicular cuts which can be achieved, for instance for cutting hydraulic and compressed air hoses to length and in the automotive industry, are extremely impressive.
The triangular blade is a new design which is suitable for cutting hoses of all kinds, even fabric reinforced and corrugated tube. The precise entering into the material without crushing or squeezing is owed to the pointed tip of the blade and results in a perfect vertical cut, and the spring opens the cutter by itself and offers more comfortable use compared to other tools.
