Made in Sanjo Japan (know as 'the town of blacksmiths'), Tadafusa have been manufacturing knives since 1948. They began by making various tools including sickles, short swords and fishing knives, and then moved to specialise in kitchen knives for home and professional use. Now used by home cooks and professional chefs all over the world, to ensure authenticity and unparalleled quality, Tadafusa knives have continued to be hand forged by 3 generations of the same Japanese family.
We have 2 types of kitchen knives from Tadafusa - Bocho Kobo, which is a Japanese Style looking knife - and Hocho Kobo, which is a European Style knife. It's personal preference as to which one to get - they're both beautiful to use. But we'll let you decide...
We've also come up with a 3-piece knife set for the serious lovers of fine Japanese hand tools and have incorporated our favorites into a popular package bundle.
