OKATSUNE USER GUIDE

Okatsune have been manufacturing sharp and durable cutting tools for over 70 years. They use a precise quenching and tempering process and turn special high grade Japanese carbon steel into razor sharp blades. This process produces blades that keep their edges longer than other tools.

Check out the Okatsune model you have below and ensure you are using it correctly and for what it has been designed for.

Secateurs:
O101, O103 and O104 - these secateurs enable you to effortlessly cut through branches up to 25mm such as shrubs, roses, fruit trees and vines. The blade has been ground in two angles, designed not to damage the plant, and will continuously align with the counter blade even after extensive use.

Snips:
O301 - these short nose curve blade snips have been designed for harvesting vegetables and fruit. The blades are 25mm long which makes them great for working in tight spaces and the curve ends work away from the produce preventing damage.
O304 - these long nose pointed blade snips have been designed for picking flowers and herbs, and deadheading. The pointed blades are 45mm long which makes them great for working in tight spaces but they are not suited for cutting hard (woody) stems or branches.
O306 - these long hose rounded blade snips have been designed for cutting and thinning softer stems. The blades are 45mm long and the round tips prevent damage to fruit and flowers. They are not suited for cutting hard (woody) stems or branches. They are however also great for cutting thin rope and paper.
