ELIMINATES THE NEED FOR A CHAIN SAW

Really sharp right off the bat. The blade stays sharp so far. If you’re not doing commercial type pruning or firewood cutting, this is all you need. They are less risky compared to operating a chain saw. The size is really good for the home yard work. The blade is really made of flexible yet tough material. I was able to cut at least 150cm diameter fire logs with this saw with so much ease. It’s so light and compact and comes with an artform of a sheath. -Manolito

started well. Died quickly

When I first starting using this blade, it was the best I had ever used - like cutting through butter. But within a month the blade was so blunt, it became difficult to use. Respectfully i used it a lot in that month, but still, I was very surprised and disappointed.

Silky Store

Hi Hadleigh. Thanks for the review. I was interested in reading that the blade went blunt in a month, as we've been selling these really well since they were introduced and have received no other feedback similar to yours. The Zubat Ultimate saws are relatively new to the range of Silky's, and the blades have a nickel-plated coating that allows the entire blade, including the teeth to be coated. This coating gives those saws improved cutting performance and extended blade life. So, I'm as surprised as you that it's blunt already? Can I enquire as to what you were cutting in that month and were you 100% comfortable that Silky saws only cut on the pull stroke, so there's no need to force the forward stroke. I'd also love to see a close-up photo of your blade teeth to take a better look. Cheers, Stu - Silky Store NZ (sales@silkystore.co.nz)
